Lefroy Cup

As our summer season at Hurlingham comes to a close, a determined band of club members braved the scorched lawns and beating sunshine to compete in the Lefroy Cup. Rob and Sue Brooks, Theo Ayanwale, Al Barbasiewicz, Andrew Brannon, Steven Bateman, and Anton Pollard took to the piste.

With bouches in play interesting results were returned. Following some closely fought fights, Al and Andrew were level on victories going into the deciding fight. With no fencer having any advantage Al emerged the victor. Andrew second and Rob 3rd.

Spectating were club members, with their respective important others; John Glasswell (VP), Patricia Glasswell, Ken Pearman, Fran Pearman, and Alex Brooks.

The Lefroy Cup was presented to Al Barbasiewicz by Patricia Glasswell.
