A Presidential Letter

There has been little unlocking in the world of fencing – save at elite level – and this is a brief update on the outlook for Club activities in the latter half of 2021.

It is unclear when fencing will commence again – even outdoors – and Hurlingham have not contacted us about their intentions this summer. New Year Message from the President

Dear Member,

As you know the Club has been dormant in 2020 – as has fencing in general – and the hope is that 2021 will see a return to normal activities. All members will be aware of current advice from HMG, and in the last few days messages have been received from both the Naval Club and the Hurlingham.

Evill 2020

Dear member,

Our final event of the 2019-20 season was held yesterday, with a small but perfectly formed group of 5 fencers contesting the Evill Cup in the sauna-like conditions of the Lansdowne Club.

The pool consisted of Rob & Sue Brooks, birthday boy David Partridge, Anton Pollard and me
