EPEE CLUB MEMBERS DOMINATE WELSH VETERANS CHAMPIONSHIPS

EC members dominated the medals at last Sunday’s Welsh Veterans Fencing Championships held at the Cardiff Fencing Academy.

L:R Rupert Nute (bronze) Rob Brooks (bronze), Mark Burkhalter (gold medal and Master at Arms), Steve Bateman (silver).

After some closely fought poules, Mark Burkhalter was seeded first with Steve Bateman in 2nd. Rob Brooks was seeded in fifth.

The direct elimination brought the top seeds together in the final with Mark running out the winner. Steve second and Rob in third place.
