2025 Marmalade

Saturday 30th August saw a robust group of members, family and guests descend upon the small village of Iffley, Oxford, at the invitation of club member Edmund Gray for the 2025 Marmalade Trophy. Following lunch, the group assembled in the Church Hall for the fencing.

Competing in the small but well-formed poule was: Sue Brooks, Rob Brooks, Ken Pearman, Neal Mallett and guest fencer Benj Schneider.

Refereeing was Pat Casey. Timekeeper was club president David Partridge. Keeping score was Malcolm Fare.

Spectating and giving their support was: Barberine Mallett, Fran Pearman, Edmund Gray, Brian Hill and James Noel.

After some closely fought fights, Neal emerged the undefeated winner. Prizes of marmalade were given out by our host Edmund Gray.

The assembled members, family, and guests then returned to Edmund’s for an excellent tea.

Our thanks go to Edmund for hosting this very special Epée Club event.
